Summer sickness

Not really sure what is up, but I have been sick for over 2 weeks now. I had a sore throat, then a cough, now I'm congested too. I called my dr and told them all the symptoms and they said it sounds like a sinus infection, so I'm on some meds. I am really hoping this will help. I am done! Summer is not the time to be sick. The rest have had a bit of a cough but really over all not as bad, and most are all but over it. Not sure why I get the privilege of holding on to this for so long......but here's hoping it is gone sooner than later!!!

A project

I have been wanting change lately.  I can't really rearrange how the rooms are set up. I also have a lot of spots that things are just piled so I decided to do something.  Here is a kinda before and after picture. The before is actually missing stuff on the wall,  it was a cork board and file box that just collected stuff. So i decided to make a change. I really like how it turned out.

Kids

Kids can be so fun to watch.  They can play so well together and then be at each other's throats the next.

Definitely like them playing together,  but who wouldn't.

Catching up

So it has been about a week since I posted. I got busy. Here is what I have been up to for the last week.
My sister had her 3 kiddo and they blessed him on Sunday July 3rd. A week before she asked if I could make a blessing blanket. I told her I would see what I could do. It was not as big as I would usually do, but it worked. This is the only picture I have of it as I was finishing it on the drive there.

Then that night we headed to my parents for the beginning of the celebration. We hung out and visited, then there was fireworks. I didn't get any pictures. The kids slept over, this is a tradition I had growing up so it is fun to have it continued.
Then on the 4th we had a breakfast with all my extended Walker family. Not everyone was able to come but it was fun to visit with my aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
We hung out at my parents and the kids played in the water. Of course I did not get pictures of this either. We had an late lunch early dinner. Then we headed home. It was fun and I'm glad we were able to celebrate the freedom we have and we are grateful for those who serve this country!
